Planned Parenthood Illinois Action (PPIA), the non-partisan political and advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, has endorsed the following candidates for the February 2nd Primary Election, including the following candidates for statewide office.
U.S. SENATE:
Alexi Giannoulias (D)
As State Treasurer, Alexi Giannoulias went outside the scope of his office to fight for women’s reproductive rights in the Illinois General Assembly by actively supporting legislation such as the Reproductive Health and Access Act.

As an alderman on the Chicago City Council, Toni Preckwinkle can be commended for her outspoken support of the recently passed Bubble Zone Ordinance.
